Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk

We’re currently seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in downtown Halifax. This is a temporary role requiring assistance 1 day per week. This individual will join a small team and assist with a variety of accounting duties.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing vendor invoices and employee expense claims
  • Cheque run assistance
  • Accounts payable issue support
  • Answer staff inquiries regarding payment status on invoices
  • Manage vendor inquiries
  • Journal entries
  • Other accounting duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting at the university or college level
  • Prior relevant accounting experience
  • Excellent technical skills with proficiency using MS Dynamics Software required
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in accounting abilities
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel
