We’re currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for a permanent opportunity in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The Accounting Clerk will join a small team focused on full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable and other support as needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full cycle Accounts payable processing
  • Accounts receivable filing
  • Assisting with month end processes and reports
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Other accounting support as required

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or accounting
  • 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a small team environment
