Interim Senior Corporate Accountant
Our client, a publicly traded company, is seeking an Interim Senior Corporate Accountant for their office in Halifax. This is a contract opportunity for approximately 6 months.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Finance, responsibilities will include:
- Month-end accounting and financial reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements and MD&A
- Expense reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Staff supervision
- Researching various accounting issues
- Other accounting, finance, and special project responsibilities as required
The ideal candidate will possess a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, along with a minimum of five years’ related accounting and supervisory experience. Your track record and accomplishments demonstrate that you are an effective leader with strong communication, analytical and problem resolution skills. A confident individual, you are comfortable taking initiative and work well independently as well as in a team. Additionally, you demonstrate an exceptional attention to detail, the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a high degree of confidentiality.
