Representing over 4000 professional accountants newly unified under one banner, our client, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia (CPA NS), is seeking a highly professional, solutions oriented Senior Director, Member Services. This position’s mandate is to protect the interests of the public and the integrity of the profession, promote and increase members’ competencies, and regulate members’ conduct.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working out of their new downtown Halifax office, you will play an integral role as part of the senior management team. The Senior Director, Member Services will work with a committed group of professionals in the creation and development of this trusted organization during a very exciting and vibrant period. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and providing high quality, relevant, and diverse professional development opportunities for members
  • Engaging and recruiting members as volunteers and ambassadors
  • Developing and providing membership benefits, including affinity programs, intra-member support networks, and events to meet and interact
  • Educating members post-merger and the impact of unification of their work
  • Creating strong customer service environment
  • Participating on national committees as required
  • Staff management

The ideal candidate will possess a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and a minimum of five years’ experience at the senior level. Additionally, the successful candidate will have exceptional team building ability, strong project management skills, high level of enthusiasm, and creative work style. An impeccable and spotless professional reputation, entrepreneurial spirit, and networking skills are required.
