Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client, a growing property management company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for their office in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a contract opportunity and ideal for an experienced and adaptable professional with a superior attention to detail, eager to contribute their skills while growing their experience with a professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable invoices
  • Coding invoices
  • Processing EFTs and cheque runs
  • Expense processing
  • Vendor account reconciliations
  • General support to the accounting department
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business; or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ accounting experience with a focus on AP functions
  • Familiarity with Yardi software or working with a property management company would be an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and detailed in performing duties
  • Efficient and effective time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop professional relationships
  • Adaptable and flexible work ethic
  • Immediate availability
