Billing Assistant

Our client in Dartmouth is seeking a Billing Assistant for an on-going contract opportunity with their dynamic and committed team. Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, the successful candidate will support the billing team and provide reception support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of invoices and bills
  • Preparation of invoice adjustments
  • Determine billing rates
  • Processing payments
  • Follow-up on billing inquiries
  • Adhere to provincial regulations
  • Monitoring accounts to ensure information is up to date
  • Creating various reports as necessary

Key Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or accounting
  • 1 – 2 years similar experience in a professional office environment
  • Previous billing or high-volume data entry experience considered a strong asset
  • Proven computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to learn quickly and keen attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
