Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for all financial and accounting functions within this dynamic 25+ year organization. Built upon a philosophy of superior customer service, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to contribute their strong technical accounting and leadership skills to a longstanding, successful local business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial statement preparation
- Financial reporting
- Variance and risk analysis
- Cash flow monitoring
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal entries
- GL reconciliations
- Accounts Payable management
- Accounts Receivable review
- Payroll and Benefits processing
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Year-end audit preparation
- Staff support and work review
- Ongoing process and procedure review and recommendations
Requirements:
- Completion of a Business degree with an Accounting/Finance concentration
- CPA designation will be considered an asset, but is not required
- 5+ years’ experience at the Senior Accountant level
- Advanced skills using Excel is required
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or high comfort level with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience working in a small to medium sized company environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize within tight timelines
- Small support staff supervisory experience
- Motivated and enthusiastic about developing good relationships
- Proven problem-solving ability, organized and efficient
- Process-orientation with a strong attention to detail
- Effective working alone or as a cooperative team member
- Professional approach and demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
