HR & Payroll Administrator

Our client, a local not for profit organization is seeking a Human Resource & Payroll Administrator for their team within Bedford, Nova Scotia. This is a contract position in which you will be responsible for completing a variety of full-cycle payroll duties and assisting with the organizations human resource tasks. The successful candidate is an experienced professional capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing biweekly payroll processing
  • Retrieving employees’ timesheets and obtaining approvals
  • Setting up new employees into ADP workforce payroll system
  • Managing the onboarding of new employees
  • Coordinating employee benefit package with blue cross
  • Assisting the HR Specialist with a variety of tasks
  • Other HR duties and finance duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education focusing on Human Resource and/or Payroll
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working within a similar position
  • Previous experience using ADP Workforce software
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite Software
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize as needed
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management skills
