Admin & Accounting Support

Our reputable and well-established client is seeking an Admin & Accounting Support for a permanent opportunity within their Halifax area office. The successful candidate is a motivated professional able to complete a wide variety of different tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Assist with daily accounting support functions including accounts payable
  • Receive/deposit cheques and update client accounts
  • Manage all aspects of expenses
  • Obtain quotes for shipping products
  • Assist clients with inquiries
  • Create shipping weigh bills and the supporting documents
  • Manage the inventory items for online ecommerce sites
  • Filing duties for both electronic and paper documents
  • Additional duties as required

Responsibilities:

  • Educational experience or knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Proficient in various mathematical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient at typing quickly without errors, 50+ wpm
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office products, with a focus in Excel and Word
  • Ability to work independently in duties
  • An energetic, positive attitude
  • The understanding/competency in any other language is considered as asset
  • Simple HTML editing is considered as asset
