Part Time Finance Clerk

Are you a detail-oriented individual keen to contribute your skills to a great non-profit organization? Our client is seeking a Finance Clerk for a contract, part-time opportunity within their Halifax office. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will maintain daily and monthly accounting activities for the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices
  • Entering payroll information
  • Assist with month-end accounting activities
  • Journal entries in Sage50
  • Assist with bank statement postings and bank account reconciliation
  • Other duties as required



  • 6 months experience in a similar support role
  • some post-secondary education. A combination of experience and education is also considered.
  • Experience using Sage 50
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Proper time management abilities in a deadline driven environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on written skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Experience working in a non-profit is considered an asset
