Financial Services Officer

We are seeking a Financial Services Officer for a 2.5-month contract located in downtown Halifax. The successful candidate will be an adaptable and experienced accounting professional with above average attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of fund accounting records
  • Interpretive analysis of financial information
  • Analysis of budget expenditures & revenues
  • Preparation of estimates
  • Revising current accounting systems
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or accounting
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting capacity
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered
  • SAP experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel considered an asset
  • Superior accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid communication skills with the ability communicate effectively
