Part-time Accounting Assistant
We’re seeking an Accounting Assistant for a part-time contract opportunity with our client in Halifax. Offering 12 – 15 hours per week, this is a flexible and versatile role for someone with a solid understanding of general accounting concepts and a desire to support a collaborative and professional team.
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Processing cash transactions
- Daily reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Other duties as required
- Post-secondary college education focused in business or accounting
- 2+ years’ relevant accounting support experience
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Sage50
- Able to learn new processes quickly
- Positive and approachable interpersonal skills and professional communication
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment while supporting a larger team
