We’re currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for a contract opportunity in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The Accounting Clerk will join a small team focused on full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable and other support as needed.
- Full cycle Accounts payable processing
- Accounts receivable filing
- Assisting with month end processes and reports
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- Other accounting support as required
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting
- 1-3 years accounting support experience in a similar role
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a small team environment
