Our client, a dynamic, high growth privately owned organization is seeking an experienced and driven Vice-President, Finance to oversee all of the accounting and finance functions for their head office in Halifax. This is a permanent opportunity.
Combining an entrepreneurial spirit with an extensive background in finance and accounting, you will play an integral role in the continued growth of this industry leader. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, primary responsibilities include:
- Management accounting and reporting
- Staff management
- Internal processes and controls management
- Strategic leadership
- Risk management
- Corporate compliance
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Other accounting, finance and special project responsibilities as required
The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) and a minimum of seven years’ experience at the senior management level. This role requires advanced knowledge of management and financial accounting and reporting, internal systems and processes, strategies, practices and corporate planning. Additionally, you will be required to function at both a strategic level and operating level while working alongside a strong management team and committed staff. You combine exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a committed approach that consistently shows initiative and adaptability. The ability to deal with constant change and take ownership of your responsibilities is required.
