Troy joined the firm in 2006 as a Senior Recruitment Consultant and became Co-owner in January, 2010. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant whose experience includes nine years with Ernst & Young’s Halifax, Perth (Australia), and Toronto offices. Troy manages accounting and finance searches at the senior level.

His experience in audit, accounting, taxation and advisory roles combined with his work with Accountant Staffing has provided him with a strong background in accounting and finance along with exposure to a variety of industries. This enables Troy to clearly understand the needs of his clients and match them with the skills and aspirations of candidates.

Troy’s personal approach with candidates has allowed him to build a solid network of candidate referrals. His network is extensive and, consequently, Troy has been very successful working with Professional Accountants.

Along with his wife Michelle MacEachern, Troy owns Geddes Custom Furniture located in the north end of Halifax. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Re-Jigged Celtic Music Festival and he was an active member of the Board of Directors for ALS Nova Scotia from 2008 – 2014 and the Alumni Association of Acadia University from 2008 – 2012.

Working with Accountant Staffing since the company was formed in 2002, Carmen became Co-owner in January 2010 of Accountant Staffing and Administrative Staffing. She has played a key role in the development of recruitment processes and specializes in the recruitment of junior and intermediate level accounting positions. Carmen’s professionalism and attention to detail combined with her excellent ability to assess candidates and their “fit” within organizations has resulted in a loyal and appreciative client base.

Carmen has over 16 years experience in the field of Human Resources combined with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from U.P.E.I. (1990) and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University (2002).

Carmen is a member of the Human Resource Association of Nova Scotia, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Saint Mary’s University & U.P.E.I. Alumni Associations, and has volunteered with a variety of organizations including Habitat for Humanity and The Atlantic Film Festival. She has volunteered recruitment assistance and consultation with not-for-profit organizations and actively participates in promoting positive change within her community.

Gillian Pendlebury, CPHR

With a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Certificate in Human Resource Management (2005) from Saint Mary’s University, Gillian gained experience in administrative, client service and human resource support roles before joining Accountant Staffing and Administrative Staffing in 2007. As Senior Recruitment Consultant, Gillian manages all of the recruitment for administrative and office management roles plus entry level accounting and finance positions. Having completed her CPHR designation in 2013 and becoming a Partner in 2016, she is a key contributor to our ongoing success and will continue to lead and grow her division by providing local clients with high professional standards.

Gillian’s positive, outgoing personality and her passion for recruitment are evident. Her efficient use of technology and ability to manage multiple priorities enable her to respond quickly to clients and candidates. She is an active member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia, serves as a Mentor Liaison with FUSION Halifax (People Factor Action Team) and volunteers with local organizations including Ronald McDonald House.

 

Victoria Craven, BA

Victoria has been a valuable member of Accountant Staffing and Administrative Staffing since 2011. She attended Saint Mary’s University and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on languages in 2009. During this program, she had the opportunity to study abroad in France for a year and travel across Europe. She went on to study at NSCC, completing the Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management program in 2011. Prior to and after graduation, Victoria gained recruitment, human resources and client support experience with such organizations as the Employee Services Department at NSCC.

Victoria’s focus is the selection and placement of qualified candidates for contract and permanent positions. She specializes in all levels of administration and junior-level accounting placements, developing strong candidate and client relationships within these areas of expertise. Her excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are instrumental in identifying star candidates and ensuring clients receive the highest level of service.

She is an active member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia and plans to pursue the CPHR designation in future.

Ellen Richards, BA

Ellen has been working with Accountant Staffing and Administrative Staffing since 2013. She has completed an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management (2013) from NSCC as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree (2011) from Mount Saint Vincent University. Prior to joining the team, she gained professional experience through a variety of recruitment and administrative focused positions in the business services, education, and non-profit sectors.

Supporting the Recruitment Consultants, Ellen plays an active role in the recruitment, selection and placement of candidates for both contract and permanent positions. Focusing on administrative and junior-level accounting placements, she truly enjoys meeting with new candidates and fostering on-going professional relationships with candidates and clients alike. Her positive and professional communication skills and dedicated work ethic are key traits for supporting the complete recruitment process.

Ellen enjoys volunteering with a variety of community-based organizations, particularly those involving children and animals. She has a passion for being outdoors and enjoys skiing, kayaking and camping with her husband, friends, and family.

Holly Armstrong, BA

Holly joined the Accountant Staffing and Administrative Staffing team in the summer of 2017 after completing an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management from NSCC and an Organizational Development Internship with the Nova Scotia Public Service Commission. Prior to this, Holly attended Saint Francis Xavier University and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Political Science and Sociology in 2014.

Responsible for the administrative management of all projects and contracts, Holly offers excellent hands-on knowledge of the recruitment process, is highly organized and has exceptional attention to detail. She utilizes a highly personable, proactive client service approach to ensure our clients’ needs are consistently met.

As an active member of the Human Resource Association of Nova Scotia, Holly plans to pursue her CPHR Designation in the near future.

Holly is always looking out for her client’s best interests with her professionalism and caring approach. She enjoys exploring new restaurants, meeting new people and enjoying live music. She also loves travelling, hiking and exploring the vibrant Halifax food scene.
